A Djembe I've painted. No big project. But one that has been asked about. I won't post it as 'art' because I didn't carve it and didn't do a whole lot of artistic work on it. I took natural pigments and highlighted the carvings that had been done by someone else.

I considered doing more, but after 'talking to the drum' - if that makes sense - this was all that wanted to be done.

Ornamentation is traditional, this just was all that was needed to make this a happy djembe.

It has served me well for 11 years with just one tuning, so I can't complain!
